Announced yesterday, Apple wanted to make sure you don’t have to wait for some new goodies to arrive on your iPad & iPhone. Today, Apple makes iOS 12.1 available for iDevices that are compatible. This new update brings forth all of things that didn’t make the cut on the original iOS 12 update as well as fixing up some things.
So this brings you Group FaceTime where you can chat w/ up to 32 people at once, adds dual SIM support to use a normal SIM & eSIM at the same time, adds the ability to adjust the depth of field for portrait photos, brings 70 new emojis (including hair styles, animals, food, etc.), and fixes that dreaded beautygate of automatically smoothing out selfies during the image processing side of things, and more.
We can expect the update to go live around 1PM EST as Apple usually do things. I’m sure it will be highlighted at the iPad event.
