Once again Palm rises from the ashes.  This time around not quite as a smartphone but more so a phone companion device.  They’re looking to create a new category for device w/ this one.

It is about the size of a credit card w/ a 3.3inch display, powered by a Snapdragon 435 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, running Android 8.1 Oreo, GPS to support Google Maps, 12MP rear-facing camera + 8MP front-facing camera, IP68 dust/water-resistant body, charges via USB-C, and touts an all-day 800 mAh battery inside.

You can use it to check emails, social network updates, messaging, listen to music, watch YouTube, and more w/ this little guy.  Verizon will be the exclusive & only place to pick this up. You can grab it for $350, $300 w/ 2-year contract, or $14.58 per month for 24 month.  It wouldn’t have its own SIM but utilize VZW’s NumberShare service that copies your phone number for $10 per month.

The Palm companion device is set to arrive sometime next month.  Is this a device you think you would use on a day-to-day basis?
