Originally announced back in October, the 1st of Anker’s new ultrafast chargers is finally set to arrive.  We’re talking about the 27-watt USB-C Atom PD1 as its due out later this month for an attractive price of $30.

What makes this charger so special is the fact that it is comprised of GaN or Gallium Nitride.  This allows it to waste less power when charging, take up a much smaller footprint, as well as do it faster w/o overheating.  You’ll be able to charge devices (not just phones) 2.5x faster than other chargers can.  You’ll even be able to properly charge your new MacBook, MacBook Air, Nintendo Switch as well as smartphones.

However, this is only the beginning.  This is only the 1st of the Atom line of faster chargers.  Anker is planning on dropping a 60-watt, 2-USB-C port PowerPort Atom PD 2 charger and a 100-watt, 4-port (2 USB-C + 2 USB-A) PowerPort Atom PD 4 charger.  Both set to arrive sometime later this year.

This might be a must-have charger for 2019.
