Lenovo is capitalizing off of the success of their Smart Display (the best designed one IMO) w/ another device in a similar vein.  They’ve partnered w/ Google again for this one.  Meet the new Smart Clock: a Google Assistant-powered Echo Spot.

This is a smaller Smart Display w/ a more Google-like design language.  It touts a 4inch touchscreen display and a full range 6-watt speaker w/ 2 passive radiators + Dolby noise reduction.  It can do everything you can on a smart display but just on a smaller scale.  From daily routines, controlling smart home devices, broadcast messages to other Home devices, casting TV shows, videos, music, etc to it, and more.

If you couldn’t tell, Google is really ramping up to combat every Amazon Echo device w/ something of their own.  They’re putting Google Assistant damn-near everywhere.

The Lenovo Smart Clock is due out sometime later in the Spring for $80.  Is this something you might add to your smart home setup?
