The folks over at Alienware was looking to do something different other than just making another powerful gaming rig for the masses.  The end result was this: the Aleinware 51m gaming laptop.  This thing is armed w/ desktop-level internals and that’s not even the big deal about it.  They definitely thought outside of the box on this one.

So Alienware definitely wanted to put as much and as powerful internals they could fit inside of this thing.  It has a 17.3inch 1080p display, up to a Core i9 CPU, up to 64GB of RAM, a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU, a Cryo-Tech cooling systme comprised of dual exhaust airflow/high-voltage fan & more, 90Wh battery, USB-C Thunderbolt port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, mini Display, Ethernet, and running Windows 10 Home in case anyone was curious.

All of that sounds good, right?  The Area 51m was made to be upgradeable like a desktop computer.  Not just the little things, we mean all of the big stuff.  Like the hard drive, RAM, battery, CPU, and GPU can be swapped out for something more powerful.  Sound good in theory but you will be limited by its motherboard and what it can support though.

The Area 51m goes on sale later this month on the 29th.  It starts off at $2,550 and is ships w/ a Core i7 CPU, RTX 2070 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 1TB HD.  If that’s not powerful enough, you can always upgrade it yourself.
