This morning, DJI finally released a true & proper controller for the Mavic 2 Pro & Mavic 2 Zoom drones. Say hello to the DJI Smart Controller: a premium way to control your DJI drone around and about in the skies.
The Smart Controller is a radio controlled controller armed w/ a bright 5.5inch 1080p display built-in and can withstand harsh temps of up ot -4F to 104F. It also has 16GB of storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, support for Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and DJI’s OcuSync 2.0 video transmitting tech. Keeping this thing going is a 5000 mAh battery that will give you 2 and a half hours of juice on a single charge.
It would be nice to know what version of Android its running but I imagine it will get revealed in due time. This has a $650 price tag on board for all of that it has to offer and to be no longer tethered to your smartphone as a controller.
