Now shifting gears to the Mac side of things. This is their new update w/ macOS Catalina that brings forth the end of older things and plenty of new features to drool over.
- First and foremost, this marks the official death of iTunes. So you now will have separate Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple TV apps to enjoy your media. I know some will love it and many will hate it.
- The new Sidecar feature allows you to use your iPad as an external monitor for what your doing on your Mac.
- You now have Screen Time on the Mac to help monitor your time online & on your Mac.
- The update gives their T2 security chip support for Activation Lock to be more secure in case of theft.
- Photos, Mail, Notes, Reminder, & Safari get mild updates and adds some new tricks for you to utilize as well.
Like every other software announced today, it will be available later in the fall. All Macs going back to mid-2012 models will be supported. Developers get access now and public beta users later this month.
