Earlier today, Verizon announced availability for their 2nd 5G smartphone: the LG V50 ThinQ.  Yes, its the 2nd as the Moto Z4 requires a Moto Mod in order get access their 5G network.

The V50 is more or less a modified V40 made for 5G.  It has a 6.4inch OLED display, Snapdragon 855 CPU, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage expandable via microSD, 3 cameras on the rear + 2 front-facing shooters, IP68 dust/water-resistant body, Quad DAC + headphone jack, stereo speakers, running Android 9 Pie w/ LG’s UX, and a 4000 mAh battery.

The V50 ThinQ starts at $41.66 per month for 24 months or $1,000 at full retail.  If you’re interested but no interested in the pricing, VZW is shaving up to $450 off via trade-in.  They’ll even add an extra $200 off when you switch form another carrier.  Keep in mind, their 5G network is only in select areas of Chicago & Minneapolis at the current time.

They already sell the Galaxy S10 5G and the Moto Z4 w/ 5G Moto Mod.  Even though everyone’s networks are still young, Verizon still offers a little more variety when it comes to 5G devices.

Will you be picking this one up or playing the waiting game?
