Yesterday morning, Apple announced some new changes to their MacBook line.  We get some refreshes to their entry level Macs after they recently beefed up their higher-end models.

So for starters, they killed off the 12inch MacBook w/ Retina Display.  Makes sense as now w/ the more recent MacBook Airs out, the standard MacBook is kind of redundant.

Next up, the MacBook Air adds True Tone display technology to adjust the panel based on ambient light automatically.  Since the MacBook is gone, they can now get more flexible w/ the pricing.  Its now $100 less and starts at $1,099 w/ everything else staying the same.

Then we have the base model MacBook Pro getting some new goodies.  It now has a Touch Bar + Touch ID, more powerful chips starting off w/ a 1.4GHz quad-core Core i5 CPU + 2 USB-C ports starting at $1,299 w/ a 128GB SSD & $1,499 for the 256GB SSD model.

All of this news is great for anyone looking to grab a MacBook Air or Pro as you’re getting more for a little bit less.
