Earlier this morning, DJI announced a new Ronin gimbal dedicated to mirrorless cameras. Introducing the Ronin SC or the Ronin S Compact that starts at $439 but levels up to a $539 Pro bundle.
So the new gimbal is a smaller take on the popular Ronin S. This one is 41% lighter than the larger one as it weighs in at 2.4lbs. It has a 3-axis single-hand setup comprised of aluminum, magnesium, steel, and composite plastic. This allows you to max it out at 4.4lbs of camera gear and touts an 11-hour battery life.
Another new feature is called Force Mobile that allows you to remotely aim your camera while using another gimbal up to 82ft away and control everything from your smartphone. The Pro bundle adds a full setup w/ a run/cable & follow focus motor for an extra $100. You won’t have to wait for anything as it is out right now for you to pick up.
