Over the weekend, Tesla announced some great news for those of you about to pull the trigger on a new Model S or a Model X.  They’re bringing back their free unlimited charging at their supercharger stations.

Why might you ask?  This is more or less being used as an incentive to drive more sales towards their higher-end models.  During their latest quarter earnings, the company took a $408 million loss as everyone is only buying Model 3s.  While the Model S & X are obviously their more profitable vehicles starting at around $80K and $85K.

This was available to the 2 vehicles previously but was deaded in 2017.  It has returned and left throughout that time, provided as referrals, and has been reduced about 1,000 miles of charge for free.  It will help but w/ the pricing of their flagship vehicles tipping towards $100K, it won’t be easy w/o cutting the price a bit.

Will this incentive be enough to persuade you to pick one up?
