As we’re getting closer to the Pixel 4 launch next month, we got the new details popping up left and right over the Internet.  We got new info that mostly about the new shooters and its abilities.  Let’s break it all down.

We already know the new Pixel 4 will be armed w/ a 12MP sensor w/ phase-detect auto focus and a 16MP telephoto sensor.  Thanks to the folks over at XDA, we now know it will have an up to 8x zoom which looks to combine the Super Res Zoom software + the new telephoto lens.  And in case you were wondering if it will be able to keep up w/ internally, the Pixel 4 is said to be confirmed w/ 6GB of RAM.  Not sure if it will be an option for more or the only option.

Now according to the folks over at 9to5Google, the new shooters will offer a new ‘Motion Mode’ to better tackle fast-moving action & sports shots.  This would basically give you sharp subject in motion but in focus while blurring the background.  Definitely a new software trick to add to the mix.  There’s also mention of an even better Night Sight mode as well as better astrophotography to capture the moon + stars.   Sounds like quite the feat.

All of this sounds incredible but no word on if Google plans on address the Pixel’s video quality.  Not that its bad but sub-par in comparison to their photo quality.  Does any of this get you excited for the Pixel 4 or do you need a better standout feature?
