It was teased online yesterday and in the evening it was made official. We got the date for Google I/O 2020. It usually takes place in early May and this year is no different as it happens on May 12th to the 14th.
It was hidden within an online game to restore a fake satellite network. Once the game was solved, the date was revealed. Then shortly afterwards, Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the same location at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA. Last year, they unveiled the Pixel 3a, the faster Google Assistant, the Nest Hub Max, and more.
For this year, I would expect the Pixel 4a and possibly a new smart device from Google – maybe a dedicated smart speaker but I’m wildly guessing here. We were fortunate enough to attend a few times including last year and hopefully we’ll be back for 2020.
What would you like to see for I/O 2020?
