It’s not like Google’s Phone app isn’t doing enough.  Its about to get another cool & useful feature for its users.  The lovely addition of Call Recording is coming soon and will be baked into the Phone app and accessible in a touch of a button.

The folks over at XDA Developers dug into the most recent update of the Google Phone appYou can see from the some of the images above.  You’ll be able to hit the record button when you take a call.  You can record and stop it at anytime and will be accessible within your call history.  As well as being able to play it, share it, & export it in a .wav form.  There looks like it will be the option to transcribe the recordings as well.

It will cover itself legally by allowing the other parties know that they are being recorded on the other end.  Of course, we don’t know when it is said to arrive and if it will be a Pixel-exclusive or not.

Maybe this will be something to arrive for I/O or sometime earlier.  Is this something you’d be interested in using?
