Fresh off of the Android 11 developer preview announcement, folks on the Internet already spotted some clues for a new feature for the 2020 Pixel.

The folks over XDA spotted some code that references a new Battery Share feature which could be their reverse wireless charging feature.  The code states that ‘your phone’s battery will run out faster when using battery share.  Battery share works w/ compatible earbuds, watches, phones, and more.’  I don’t know about you but it doesn’t get any clearer than that.

Despite the fact that it isn’t specifically spelled out, it definitely seems like that is the case.  The verbiage used above matches up to what Samsung used on their devices that offer reverse wireless charging.  The way Google put together the Pixel 4 lineup, they’re gonna need a massive battery upgrade as the 4th-gen Pixel was more of a downgrade from the previous models.

With the Pixel Buds that support that coming sometime this year, this would be a welcome addition.  So is reverse wireless charging a feature you want on your next-gen Pixel?
