So today, Apple finally dropped the long-awaited sequel to their 2016 budget smartphone: the iPhone SE. The new iPhone SE offers the body of the iPhone 8 w/ the new specs of the iPhone 11 – for the most part.
The new SE is an iPhone 8 w/ iPhone 11 internals.
The new iPhone SE offers a 4.7inch Retina HD display w/ 1334 x 750 resolution, powered by their latest A13 Bionic CPU, Home button w/ Touch ID fingerprint scanner, IP67 dust/water-resistant body, an f/1.8 12MP wide sensor w/ OIS + capable of up to 4K video @60fps & 1080p slow-motion @240fps, a f/2.2 7MP selfie camera, stereo speakers, and supports dual SIMs (one being eSIM), Gigabit LTE + Wi-Fi 6. Apple says the new SE offers 18W fast-charging but ships w/ the slower charging brick though. It does support wireless charging but no headphone jack for 2020. Apple does provide Lighting headphones in the box BTW.
The 2020 iPhone SE will arrive in 3 color options of White, Black, & product(Red). Pricing for it starts at $399 for the 64GB model, $449 for the 128GB model, and $549 for the 256GB model. You can also trade-in your previous iPhone to save even more $$$ on it. Pre-orders for the new SE kick off on this Friday, April 17th and launches one week later on April 24th.
So who’s ready to go back to bigger bezels and a Home button on your iPhone? Will you be picking this up?
