Introducing the new controller for the upcoming PS5 console: the DualSense controller.  This marks the biggest change in PlayStation’s 25-year gaming history and it is a welcome one.

Design-wise this is an evolution of sorts from the Dual Shock controller which has been the same since the original PlayStation for the most part.  You got a USB-C port, monochrome color layout for the signature PS buttons, and the Share button has been replaced w/ the Create button.  The new gaming stick adds haptic feedback that will adapt based on the type of game your playing (racing, fighting, etc.), adaptive triggers on the L2 + R2 buttons, and built-in mic to chat w/o a headset.

Looks like Sony finally gave PS gamers a much better controller – for once.  Catching up to what Microsoft has been doing w/ Xbox IMO.  We still don’t know what the console itself will look like but it is due out later this year for the holidays.

What do you think of the new controller?
