While Apple didn’t spend a lot of time w/ their OS for Apple TV & surprisingly the HomePod.  We’re talking about tvOS 14 of course.  

Its a short list but lets get into it:

  • Apple brings the Control Center from iOS to tvOS.  
  • You now have picture-in-picture mode like most of their mobile OS platforms.
  • Apple multiuser support for tvOS and Apple Arcade as well.  
  • The YouTube app on Apple TV gets upgraded from 1080p to now 4K.  
  • Support for Microsoft’s Elite 2 & Adaptive Xbox One controllers.  
  • Even better HomeKit integration for smart home accessories like seeing your video doorbell feed on the Control Center.  
  • Apple has announced a variety of new features for its tvOS platform, adding better support for Apple’s HomeKit accessories, a new picture-in-picture mode, and Microsoft’s Elite 2 and Adaptive Xbox One controllers.

Apple’s latest tvOS is coming later this fall to make your Apple TV even better.  So who’s looking forward to checking this out.
