So YouTube TV started off as a really good streaming option w/ a cloud-based DVR and such. Since its inception, it has grown to add more channels & Live TV options. However, the price has went up little by little. Announced yesterday, another price hike is coming.
Effective yesterday for new customers, YouTube TV goes from $50 per month to $65 per month. Current customers will see the changes on or after their July 30th bill. In case you were wondering why the price hike? The addition of Viacom channels which appears to be costly for Google and they’re passing the bill down to their subscribers. This adds content from BET, CMT, Comedy Central. MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, TV Land, & VH1.
Having started from $35 per month and now going up to $65 per month, you gotta ask yourself is this still worth it as there many streaming services available out right now. Will this latest price hike steer you away to other platform like Sling or Hulu w/ Live TV?
