If own a Chromebook, it just got a lot more powerful.  NVIDIA announced its cloud-based gaming service, GeForce Now, effective yesterday is now available on Chromebooks via beta.   Here’s what you need to know about it.  

This means you’ll be able to play popular titles available on the 3 big online gaming stores: Epic Games, Steam, & Ubisoft UPlay.  Increasing your game selection substantially over what Google’s Stadia has to offer.  Giving your Chrome OS-powered laptop the ability to play games as if you had a $2,000 Windows gaming rig. 

All you need is a mouse and a Chromebook that has a minimum of 4GB of RAM, Intel HD graphics 600, 15MBps Internet speeds but 25 Mbps recommended, and 7th-gen Intel Core m3/i3/i5/i7.  There are both a free & paid options for the service.  Games will take a few minutes to boot up and each gaming session will be capped out to an hour.
