No more betas as Google’s Android 11 is now official and ready for consumption.  If they were still doing the dessert thing, this would’ve been Red Velvet Cake.

Now for those of you who dodged the public betas, Android 11 adds a lot of little new things, some fine tuning, & doing some background things.  So you get new things like better grouping messaging notifications, adding a Facebook Messenger-like bubble UI for messaging, new media controls + UI, new screenshot interface, smart home control menu, native screen recording, wireless Android Auto, one-time permissions, & much more.

So if you’re interested, you’ll need to own a specific phone to take advantage of it right away.  The good news is that its available for devices other than a Pixel.  So if you have a OnePlus, OPPO, Xiaomi, or a Pixel 2 and higher; you can update to it.

I think its a modest update that added a few new interesting things to the mix.  Give it a shot and let us know how you like it.
