So last week, Canon added a new member to their Cinema Camera lineup but a lot smaller than the previous models.  Introducing the Canon C70 Cinema Camera: their newest full-frame mirrorless camera but more of a video camera over their EOS R5/R6 line.

The C70 offers a Super 35mm 9.6MP sensor w/ Dual Pixel autofocus (continuous/detection/tracking AF) capable of 4K @up to 60fps 4:2:2 10-bit up to 410Mbps as well as 4K up to 120fps.  Offers over 16 stops of dynamic range, powered by their Digic DV7 image processor, built-in ND filter, 2 mini XLR ports, a 3.5mm mic jack, headphone jack, USB, a remote terminal, full-sized HDMI, has their latest RF mount, EIS + OIS, dual SD card slots, LUT support, records in Rec 709/Canon Log 2/Log 3/HLG and RAW support coming soon.

All of this within a 2.6lbs body that can still work w/ most gimbals + drones w/ ease.  There is an active cooling fan inside so you shouldn’t come across the same overheating issues that the EOS R series is having.  The C70 is due out in November for $5499 for the body as their EF-EOS R 0.71x mount adapter will drop in December for $599.
