Earlier today, Sony unveiled their new VR controllers for the PS5.  Definitely reminding those who forgot that they do have VR plans for their next-gen console.  This will be joined by a VR headset that has yet to be revealed.

They offer a huge difference in design from their PS Move motion controllers while adding the same adaptive trigger technology from the DualSense PS5 controller.   Offering the same tensions in the triggers, haptic feedback, & adds finger touch detection to use natural gestures during gaming.

On the design-side of things, it will offer a joystick-style w/ a band that connects and goes over your wrist.  It offers the signature PS shape buttons along w/ the L1, L2, R1 + R2 triggers, Create button, & options button.  Its grip button can be used to pick up items within the game BTW.  The controllers will also include tracking to their VR headset which has yet to be revealed.

All of this tech will be a staple in Sony’s future VR plans & games.  But just because we’re seeing their VR controllers, don’t expect a full-on VR launch for the PS5 this year.  Sounds like they’re getting it ready to test w/ game developers in the very near future.
