So after some time, reports, & leaks, today we got the official word on everything we need to know about the new OnePlus 9 series.  We already anticipated fast screens, fast-charging batteries, & other mild updates but we got the official word on their Hasselblad-powered rear shooters as well.  Let’s break all of the specs down on the OnePlus 9 & OnePlus 9 Pro.

At launch only 5G for T-Mobile w/ Verizon in the works though.

Both the OnePlus 9 & 9 Pro offer 120Hz AMOLED display, powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 CPU, either 8GB or 12GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 fast storage, Android 11 underneath their Oxygen OS, in-display fingerprint reader, alert slider, stereo speakers powered by Dolby Atmos, a pro-gaming mode to take advantage of the fast speeds & refresh rate, a gaming-grade cooling system to reduce heat while gaming,  USB-C, and a 4500 mAh battery w/ Warp Charge 65T USB-C fast-charging.

Now, there are very few differences between the 2 as well. The 9 has a 6.5inch FHD display w/ 2400 x 1080 resolution and 15W wireless charging.  While the 9 Pro offers a 6.7inch QHD display w/ 3216 x1440 resolution, IP68 dust/water-resistant body, and Warp Charge 50 aka 50W wireless charging.

Now onto the new shooters, OnePlus wants improve their cameras badly.  So enter the Hasselblad partnership to help do so.  The new improved shooters are on both the 9 & the 9 Pro so you don’t have to pay more to get the main goodies.  You got a f/1.8 48MP main sensor w/ EIS + OIS, an f/2.2 50MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP monochrome sensor, and a f/2.4 16MP selfie camera.  The 9 Pro adds an f/2.48MP telephoto lens to the mix BTW.

Both are capable of 12-bit RAW photos using dual native ISO, more dynamic range & more natural colors.  This can be accessed via their new Pro mode co-developed by Hasselblad.  On the video side of things, you can get 8K video @30fps, 4K video up to 120fps, and Super Slow Motion video up to 240fps in 1080p.

The OnePlus 9 will start at $729 while the OnePlus 9 Pro will start at $969.  This will be for the 8GB of RAM + 128GB storage options while the 12GB of RAM + 256GB options will cost you $829 for the 9 & $1,069 for the 9 Pro.  Pre-orders for both phones kick off this Friday, March 26th & goes on sale on April 2nd.  Same goes for their new Warp Charge 50 wireless charger as well which will cost you $70.

So will you be upgrading to the new shooters on the OnePlus 9 series?
