So we knew it was coming and today its official.  This is OnePlus‘ take on a smartwatch w/ the OnePlus Watch.  As the headline says, don’t expect an Apple Watch competitor but something more so along the lines of rival Fitbit’s smartwatches.  Let me explain.

You got a 46mm stainless steel case w/ 2.5D curved glass, 5ATM + IP68 dust/water-resistant body, built-in GPS, automatic workout detection, and can measure pulse, rapid heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, stress, breathing, distance, calories, speed, swimming w/ over 110 workout types – all within their new OnePlus Health app.

OnePlus is using their own proprietary chip + software here BTW.

Outside of that, you got 4GB of storage w/ 2GB being available for use which equates to over 500 songs for music playback.  For those of you who live in regions where the OnePlus TV is available, you can use your watch to control it as well.  It offers a 402 mAh battery inside that will give you a week’s worth of power and can give you all-day of juice in a 5-minute charge or a week’s worth in 20 minutes.

The OnePlus Watch will arrive in the only color option of Midnight Black & goes on sale on April 14th for $159.  Will you be adding this to your OnePlus purchases this year or nah?
