Next up, Apple unveiled their new redesigned M1-powered iMacs w/ new color options & more.  We heard that Apple wasn’t replenishing their iMac stock after running out and this is why.

The new-and-improved iMac offers a 24inch display w/ 4.5K resolution+ Apple’s TrueTone technology for automatically adjusting color temp, an over-all flat 11.5mm thin display instead of being rounded, a large chin at the bottom, powered by Apple’s M1 CPU for faster speeds/graphics while staying cooler + quieter, 50% more volume thanks to its 6 speakers + Dolby Atmos support, and a new 1080p camera w/ a larger sensor for better video call quality.

There’s even Touch ID on the new keyboard, a headphone jack, a new magnetic power cable (a la MagSafe) where the Ethernet can now be connected to the power brick, starting w/ 2 USB-C/Thunderbolt ports & going up to add 2 more USB-C ports.  Unfortunately, there’s no SD card slot so still dongle life.

The all-new M1 iMac starts at $1,299 and a higher-end model starts at $1,499 – both w/ 8GB f RAM + 256GB SSD that goes up to 16GB of RAM & up to 1TB/2TB depending on what model you get.  You a choice of up to 7 colors as the $1,299 model goes on sale on April 30th while the $1,499 model goes live on the 2nd half of May.

Is this the M1 machine you’ve been waiting for?  Or are you waiting for the larger M1 MacBook Pro?
