Now you may or may not remember hearing about Dish Network‘s telecommunications efforts after the whole T-Mobile buying Sprint merger happened. Apparently, things haven’t been going as smooth as it was supposed to but things are looking to change for them. Hopefully for the better.
Yesterday, they announced its new partner for its MNVO brands they grabbed from Sprint which is AT&T. This will be a $5 billion deal over the curse of the next 10 years utilizing their 4G + 5G networks as Dish works to bring their 5G situation online. Now we mentioned Dish’s MVNO brands as they include Boost Mobile, Ting, & Republic Wireless.
We mentioned T-Mobile & Dish not working as Dish is using T-Mo’s CDMA network that they’re about to shutdown and leave their Boost Mobile subscribers w/o service. So this AT&T deal will help them out as Dish works on building their network out in the meantime. Hopefully, this can help Dish maintain its goal of eventually becoming the new 4th cellphone carrier over time. We shall see how it all works out.
