To go along w/ the recent launch of the FX3 & FX6, Sony is bringing one of their features to the beloved A7S III. We got a new firmware update that will bring their S-Cinetone picture profile.
So Sony’s S-Cinetone profile offers natural mid-tones, soft colors, & great highlights to craft a better cinematic look to your footage. This will arrive via a new firmware update BTW. The S-Cinetone was made popular by Sony’s Venice cinema cameras and has been slowly trickling down to their other high-end cameras.
Alongside the new picture profile, the update will also bring forth SteadyShot on the Active Mode using their 5-axis optical in-body stabilization. However, the Active mode can’t used if the S8Q frame rate is 120/100fps or higher.
