After being leaked back in late July, today we get the latest from Bose w/their QuietComfort 45 noise-canceling headphones. Though on the outside, it looks like a mild update. Bose made sure to improve the internals to offer a better & more competitive experience.
So they’ll bring you a similar design w/ 4 buttons on the right earcup & one on the left to switch between noise-canceling + transparency modes. As far as the new features, you got improved active noise-cancellation to better block mid-range frequencies from trains/office spaces/cafes, ambient/transparency w/ their own Aware mode, multi-point Bluetooth connection for up to 2 devices, and better beam form array mics for isolating your voice for phone calls.
The QC45s give you a total of 24 hours of juice for playback and a USB-C port which will allow for fast charging which would give you 3 hours of juice in a 15-minute charge. Which is a feat for them as their Noise Canceling Headphones 700 gets up to 20 hours. But its hard to forget that Sony’s WH-1000XM4s can give you 30 hours of juice.
Bose is taking pre-orders for the QuietComfort 45 headphones today for $330 as they will go on sale on September 23rd. As you can see above, you’ll have the Black or Smoke White color options to choose from.
Who’s looking forward to upgrading to these for travel or your daily commute?
