Yesterday, Verizon announced a new promo freebie coming to both their smartphone & cable/Internet users w/ AMC+. Big Red is giving their users an entire year of AMC+ streaming service – just in time for the final season of The Walking Dead. But of course, there are some asterisks to come along w/ it.

So on the smartphone side of things, you have to be a Verizon Unlimited user w/ a 5G phone. So if you’re new or current to the carrier you’ll have to have a 5G phone on their Play More, Do More, or Get More Unlimited plan; you’ll get 12 months of the streaming service. A new customer can get 6 months of AMC+ w/ their Start Unlimited plan & a 5G phone. While current customers on a Verizon Unlimited plan who upgrade to a 5G phone, can get AMC+ free for 6 months.

While on the FiOS side of things, you’ll, unfortunately, have to be a new customer to take advantage of the free service. You’ll have to sign up for their Mix & Match home internet plan to get AMC+ free for 12 months. BTW, this is w/ no data caps & annual contracts so you can get the service and leave if you’re unhappy w/o any additional cost.

So along w/ The Walking Dead & its many spin-offs, the service also offers many AMC original content like Mad Men, Hell on Wheels, & more as well as content from Shudder, Sundance Now, BBC America, & IFC Films Unlimited. So now that you got it all laid out for you, are you eligible for a free year of the service?
