Now we told you about this one a few months back and now it is available for all to pick up.  Meet DJI’s most affordable drone w/ the $299 Mini SE – officially.   Even cheaper than the $450 Mini 2, this new Mini SE is the new point of entry for drones from DJI.

The Mini SE weighs in at only 249 g or 0.5lbs, offers a 12MP sensor capable of up to 2.7K QHD videos@30fps on a 3-axis gimbal, gives you up to 30 mins of flight time, a downward-facing obstacle avoidance sensor, 720p video transmission up to 2.4 miles via Wi-Fi, and can withstand up to 38 mile per hour winds.

Since this is a beginner drone, you got DJi’s Quickshot features that will allow you to pull off pre-built camera moves like dronie, rocket, circle, & helix.  There’s even their Creator Templates that acts as filters on the footage/photos you capture as well.  And last but not least you got a vision sensor, GPS stabilization, & propeller guards to help protect it.

The new Mini SE is out now and if you’re looking to get into drone work, this might be a great & inexpensive way to get started.
