This morning, GoPro made their next-in-line action camera official w/ the Hero 10 Black.  Like any other new GoPro, you’ll have improved performance, better stabilization, and better image quality as per usual.  Let’s breakdown all of the new goodies in specifics, shall we?

The Hero 10 can now  shoot at 2x the frame rate up to 5.3K@60fps, 4K@120fps, & 2.7K @240fps – all on a 23MP sensor.  You got a new horizon-leveling feature  that allows you to tilt the camera up to 45 degrees but you will be limited to 4K@60fps + 2.7K/1080p@120fps though.  There’s a new generation HyperSmooth stabilization that can be used during live streaming but will require a GoPro subscription though.

It is powered their newest custom GP2 processor to beef up its overall performance as they’ve been using the same GP1 CPU since the Hero 6 Black.  This will also beef up the Wi-Fi transfers by 30%, add advanced local tone mapping + 3D noise reduction, and faster boot-up.

GoPro retained the ability to add Mod add-ons from the Hero 9 here as well.  So you can attach things to make it your all-in-one b-roll solution if you need to cause after the Hero9, the GoPro is just that good.

The GoPro Hero 10 is out now for $499 but you can save $100 off of it to bring it down to $399 when you add a GoPro subscription.  This will grant you access to upload videos to the cloud while charging as well as their damaged camera replacement program.

So if you have a Hero 8 or older, this will be the perfect upgrade for you.
