So Google’s 2nd-gen Nest Hub display w/ sleep-tracking just got even better.  Announced yesterday on Google’s blog, it is getting a new update to add more features to the mix but they won’t be free though.

The new update adds a Sleep Staging chart that shows off your various stages of sleep (REM, light, & deep sleep), sound detection to track only your coughing/snoring, the addition of the Calm app coming in December that arrives w/ sleep stories, relaxing music, & meditation sessions.

The Sleep Sensing will be free through 2022 and will be built into Fitbit Premium in 2023 for $10 monthly or $80 per year.  While the Calm app will offer some things for free but you’ll need the paid Premium version to get everything for $70 per year or a one-time payment of $400.

So this will give you a year to enjoy it before you gotta pay for it.
