Yesterday, Google rolled out an update to their latest Pixel buds A-Series earbuds.   This is their 1st big update for the A-Series buds which adds 3 new things into the mix like bass controls, loudness, & device switching.

This will be apart of firmware update Version 282 for those of you who’re looking.  Between downloading + installing the update, it can take up to around 15-20 minutes.   The specific new additions are to customize your bass via slider from -1 to +4 as this is one of the areas they lacked.  Next up is loudness compensation where you can beef up the bass/treble at lower volume levels via toggle.  And last but not least is better device switching.  While these don’t support multi-point Bluetooth, they’ll be able to search + connect to the 2nd to last connected device in case the last connected device isn’t available.

The timing is pretty good as the Google Store ran a promo to offer these for free w/ the most recent purchase of a Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro.  Just make sure you have permissions to allow ‘Nearby Devices’ on your device in order to start the process.  So let us know how’re you liking the new bass & all that comes to the A-Series Buds?
