Now the idea of Google returning to the tablet space would excite most some from the mistakes of the past. At I/O, Google teased us w/ the vision of what to expect from them. This is the Pixel Tablet and it is due out sometime next year.
While I, for one, was excited at the idea of the Google made tablet in 2023, 1st glance is a little lackluster on the design side of things. I think most folks would want a larger Nexus 10-sized tablet or larger w/ a Nexus 7 overall experience w/ their new 2021/2022 design flair.
Whatever you think about the look of it, it will be powerful. It will be armed w/ Google’s Tensor CPU, quad speakers, and a camera, and that’s all we know about it. We can see it will be on the thicker side of things but the real question is; why isn’t it share the design language of the rest of the Pixel line? The hardware looks super bare bones but w/ the Android 13 (or 14 by the time its available).
However, the overall design of the Pixel Tablet can change between now on its launch. So for those of you seeking a better slate from Google, there’s still hope.
