Along with the updated Google Home app, we got Gemini for Home, which is a new set of features that includes features like Gemini Live, AI-powered notifications, Home Brief, and Ask Home via the new Google Home Premium subscription plans, which start at $10 monthly. However, if you are already subscribed to Google AI Pro and Ultra plans, you can access the features for free.

  • If you own any of the more recent Google smart speakers such as the Google Home (2016), Google Home Mini (2017), Google Home Max (2017), Nest Mini (2019), and Nest Audio (2020). You made the cut but keep in mind that only the Nest Audio speaker will get access to Gemini Live.
  • For Smart Displays like the Nest Hub (2018), Nest Hub Max (2019), and Nest Hub (2nd-gen) (2021) are all supported. However, only the 2nd-gen Nest Hub and Nest Hub Max get Gemini Live support.
  • Supported cameras on the list include the Nest Cam Indoor (2015), Nest Cam Outdoor (2016), Nest Cam IQ Indoor (2017), Nest Cam IQ Outdoor (2017), Nest Cam (battery) (2021), Nest Cam (wired) (2021), Nest Cam with Floodlight (2021), Nest Cam Indoor (2K) (2025), Nest Cam Outdoor (2K) (2025), and the Walmart onn Indoor Camera Wired (2025).
