While the Apple Vision Pro didn’t quite take off like the company might have hoped, the space of AR glasses is still growing thanks to other companies delivering a variety of form factors, specs, and pricing. Outside of Google and Samsung, Xreal is one of those companies. At CES 2026, they unveiled their newest entry-level AR glasses, the $450 Xreal 1S, which are essentially an updated version of the company’s Xreal One glasses.
The Xreal 1S offers a small, wearable display behind the glasses, which are worn close to your eyes, and can connect to your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or gaming console via USB-C. These small displays offer 1200p HD visuals with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 52-degree field of view, brightness up to 700 nits, and a 16 x 10 aspect ratio. The selling feature is that the smaller displays are so close to your eyes, they basically trick your brain into thinking you’re watching up to a 500-inch screen.
Thanks to Xreal’s new X1 spatial computing chip, the 1S glasses have a Real 3D feature, which converts any 2D video content into 3D—without the need for extra apps, software, or proprietary players. And while these aren’t like the Meta Ray-Bans, the 1S does support Xreal’s detachable Eye camera for POV-style photos and videos. The 1S also features Bose technology to enhance on-device audio.
Xreal also announced its native 10,000 mAh external battery/DisplayPort hub for your glasses, the $99 Xreal Neo. The ideal use case is using your AR glasses with the Switch or Switch 2. It also features a built-in USB-C cable, a magnetic quick connect, support for video pass-through, and a built-in metal kickstand.
Unlike most things announced at CES, you won’t have to wait, as the Xreal 1S is readily available now. However, the Neo external battery is available for pre-order and will ship in early February.
