Along with its newest foldable, Motorola unveiled its latest smartwatch, the new Moto Watch. Motorola’s newest wearable isn’t just a remix of its beloved Moto 360; it’s more health and fitness-focused than any of its predecessors.
Motorola partnered with Polar, a company that specializes in accurate heart and fitness tracking within its fitness devices, to bring over features like heart-rate monitoring, tracking steps and workouts, logging calories burned while working out, setting daily activity goals with an inactivity alert, and sleep tracking and recovery metrics.
The new Moto Watch has a 1.43-inch round OLED display in a 47mm IP68-rated case made with aluminum and stainless steel, dual GPS for improved accuracy, capable of hands-free calls with its built-in mic and speaker setup, and up to 13 days of battery life and up to 7 days with Always-On Display. Also, you won’t have to worry about using only Motorola’s band for customization, as you can use other third-party 22mm bands.
The Moto Watch will arrive only in the Pantone Volcanic Ash color option and will go on sale on January 22. No word on pricing as of yet or if it’s running Google’s WearOS or its own proprietary software, but we expect that information to be available sooner rather than later.
