Instead of the atypical branding of the Motorola Edge for its flagship phones, Motorola is taking a different approach for 2026. Meet the Motorola Signature, which the company calls ‘a modern classic,’ as this is Moto’s version of a super-thin, small-bezel, premium flagship phone with top-notch specs.
It’s equipped with an aluminum frame, measures 6.99mm thin, and features a choice of linen or twill-inspired rear finishes—all while weighing just 186g. It also features a 6.8-inch 165Hz OLED screen with a 2780 x 1264 resolution and a peak brightness of up to 6,200 nits. Its powered by Snapdragon’s 8 Gen 5 chip, up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of expandable storage, runs Android 16 with up to seven years of OS and security updates, an IP68/IP69-rated body, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, native Gemini support, and a 5,200 mAh battery that supports 90W wired, 50W wireless, 10W wireless reverse, and 5W wired reverse charging.
The Signature touts a total of four 50-megapixel cameras, which utilize Sony’s newest mobile sensors. It’s a triple rear-facing camera system, consisting of an f/1.6 50MP main, an f/2.0 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and 100x super zoom. Both the main and telephoto shooters have OIS (or optical image stabilization) on board, and on the front lies an f/2.0 50MP selfie sensor. For video, it can capture up to 8K video @30fps as well as 4K slow-motion.
Motorola is also introducing an on-demand white-glove service, which will give users exclusive access to luxury experiences in travel, dining, events, and more; similar to the perks of a high-end credit card. This will be available later this year.
Now, as great as this all sounds, the current time it is scheduled for a US launch. The Signature is coming to Latin America, India, the Middle East, Africa, and other overseas regions, starting at €999. I’ll try to remain optimistic for a change in the launch schedule, but we’ll see if it will eventually make its way stateside.
