Just as the rumors suggested, Google’s Gemini goes proactive. Introducing Gemini Spark, Google’s new 24/7 personal AI agent to assist in your digital life—all in the pursuit to make your life easier by letting AI take on some of your tasks.
Spark can scan monthly credit card statements for new or hidden fees; check your inbox for updates from your kids’ school, pull deadlines, and compile a daily digest; and pull meeting notes from emails and convert them to a Google Doc with an email draft with the new document. Google plans to reveal more Spark features in the coming weeks, such as the ability to navigate your browser and send texts and emails. Spark will ask before executing tasks such as making purchases and sending emails.
Gemini Spark is set to roll out to testers subscribed to the Google AI Ultra beta plan sometime next week. The new feature is powered by its newer and faster Gemini 3.5, and is integrated with Google Workspace apps (Gmail, Docs, Slides, etc.), in addition to Canva, Instacart, OpenTable, and more partners coming in the following weeks. And lastly, Spark is set to arrive to the Gemini desktop app sometime this summer as well.
Also, there is the new design language for Gemini as a whole, Gemini Omni, which allows you to transform text, images, and video into cinematic videos; and Daily Brief, which is an improved version of the Daily Hub from the Pixel 10 series that compiles updates from your inbox, upcoming calendar events, and follow-up details into a summarized agenda for the day.
