Google announced something most probably didn’t expect: a cloud-based media stream device under the Nexus moniker. Meet the Nexus Q, the small media player that streams media from all things running Android 2.3 or higher using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and Ethernet connections. The small 2lbs streamer offers a 25W amp, powered by the same chipset inside of the Galaxy Nexus (1GHz OMAP processor, 1GB of RAM, & 16GB of storage), and optical audio + micro HDMI outputs that is all controlled by your Android device.
Pre-orders for the Nexus Q kick off today with a mid-July arrival and a $299.99 price tag. And what seems to be the future one stop shop for Google-branded Android devices, the Nexus Q can be reserved for order in the Google Play Store. Hit the link below to pre-order yours directly.
