We heard about something was coming and earlier this week, they made it official. The folks at Ikea & Sonos teamed up to create some good-looking products. Meet the SYMFONISK lineup of Sonos-powered audio in Ikea products/furniture w/ a Wi-Fi bookshelf speaker & a table lamp.
The Wi-Fi bookshelf speaker is priced at $99 and can be paired w/ other Sonos products like the Beam, Playbase, & Playbar. It can be used horizontally or vertically as well as being able to mount in your home where ever you want or even use the speaker to double as a shelf.
The table lamp is priced at $179 and offers a sound that mirrors that of a Sonos One underneath fabric. It can be paired w/ another lamp to pump out tunes in stereo. It too can pair w/ a Beam, Playbase, & Playbar for a complete home theater system.
Both the lamp & the speaker are due out sometime in August this year. I already frequent Ikea w/ the wife so now I have a reason to get more excited in going.
