Yesterday, Sony announced an update tot heir most powerful full-frame mirrorless shooter. Say hello to the all-new A9 II w/ a few new features to make this the default shooter for sports + wedding photographers.
So what’s new here is the better in-body stabilization, improved dust/water-resistance, new algorithm for better AF tracking, faster shutter, gigabit Ethernet support, a USB-C port, and 5GHz Wi-Fi support. Outside of that, it retains the 35mm 24.2MP sensor, Bionz X image processor, dual SD card slot, joystick, touchscreen 2.9inch display, and a rugged magnesium alloy body.
Not sure if this minor update was necessary to create as the price point remains the same. With Sony offering so many options for less, not sure if they’re shooting themselves in the foot by dropping this. But for those of you interested, the A9II will drop on November 5th for $4,500 for the body only.
