PaMu Slide Mini: Best Earbuds For The Price

If you didn’t notice towards the end of last year, then you will definitely be aware for 2020.  This year we will see more & more earbuds from various companies.  This is one of them.  This is the PaMu Slide Mini by Padmate.  Last year, we reviewed the PaMu Slide and loved them.  There aren’t too many differences between the 2 for the most part – outside of the size of the carrying cases.  With that said, a lot of things will be similar to the ones we reviewed last year.   So we’ve been using these guys for a few weeks now and we’re ready to speak our piece on them.  This is our PaMu Slide Mini review.

The Slide Minis as earbuds are exact same size but the carrying case is massively smaller.  Its a lot smaller size and offering a deep, capsule shape w/ 4 LED dots to display its battery life.  More on that aspect in a few.

Same comfy fit but I wish the seal was a bit tighter.

The design remains the same w/ a earbuds & stem for mics.  While not completely ripping off the look of the AirPods but offering a little of their own style to them.  You can use these almost anywhere as the Slide Minis are IPX6 dust/sweat/water-resistant.  You still got touch controls on the side of each bud for play/pause/answer calls/reject calls/volume up/volume down as well as support for Google Assistant/Siri too.  Did we forget to mention the  case having magnetic anti-drop within it?  Well, it does.

They’re not bulky and fits fine in your ear.  They don’t offer the great & tight seal I get w/ the BackBeat 5100s but good enough to stay within my ears.  All while still being comfy enough to wear all-day or whenever the battery dies on them.

These buds are still powered by Qualcomm’s QCC3020 processor.  This allows for lower power consumption, true wireless stereo, and strong signal.  You got Bluetooth 5.0 support as well as apt X.  All of this w/ the joys of auto-pairing as soon as you open the carrying case.  Now let’s talk sound quality.

Definitely pleased w/ the audio output from the Slide Minis.

These have great drivers inside cranking out great output.  We got damn-near no latency and offers big bass for its size.  I spent my time listening to Joe Rogan + Joe Budden podcasts, a bunch of YouTube content, and lots of R&B on Spotify.  Moving onto using them for phone calls, they are armed w/ dual mics for noise reduction (for voice not ANC BTW).  They sounded pretty good, nothing stellar but clear enough and works well enough to make calls on it w/ ease.

Now back to the battery side of things, the Slide Mini keeps the 10-hours of juice on a single charge.  I got pretty much around close to that using it regularly on a daily basis.  The smaller carrying case still gives you a lot of juice.  It has a 400 mAh battery that can charge your buds 3 times.  Ut does offer USB-C fast charging that gives you an hour of juice in a 5-minute charge and completely tops it off in 1 and a half hours.  And what else carries over from last year’s model, the charging case supports reverse wireless charging so you phone can charge it if need be.

The PaMu Slide Mini might be one of the best earbuds in this price point.

Padmate did it again w/ these earbuds.  The PaMu Slide Mini are a pair of superb earbuds that checks all of the boxes to cover the needs of the many.  Long battery, great bass, touch controls, reverse wireless charging support for its case, and IPX6 rating.  However, they’re not perfect by any means.  I would prefer a better seal w/ the fit and a little more clarity within the audio.  But it is doing a lot for a little bit.   You can get this for only $55 but this is their current pricing as it will go up to $149 just like they did w/ the regular PaMu Slide.

Is this something you’re interested in picking up for your earbud needs?
