Yup! It’s that time of the year again. As September and Labor Day approach, we can always expect two things: kids going back to school and Apple unveiling a new iPhone. School has already started for most kids (save for mine), but today, Apple sent out invites for its upcoming iPhone 17 launch on September 9. This year’s tagline is “Awe-dropping,” and as usual, it’s taking place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park at 10AM PT/1PM ET.
Based on recent leaks and reports, the Plus model is set to get replaced with a new slimmer 6.6-inch Air model, and the only visual change we can expect is a redesigned rear with a Google Pixel-like camera bar. Outside of that, we can expect the finished version of iOS 26 and its Liquid Glass software UI, a new Apple Watch, and possibly the long-awaited AirPods Pro 3.
We’re not sure if Apple will tease any future products—a la the “one more thing” style. We already know the foldable iPhone is in the works, which could launch within the next year or two, and a heavily rumored 20th Anniversary iPhone with curved glass edges and slimmer bezels.
