Yesterday was Amazon’s time, and now it’s Google’s turn to show off its latest Nest devices for your home. Introducing the newest Nest Cam Outdoor (wired, 2nd-gen), the Nest Cam Indoor (2nd-gen), and the Nest Doorbell (wired, 3rd-gen) are relatively identical to their predecessors.

The 3 new models can now capture 2K HDR video, not quite 4K quality Amazon’s cameras are offering but we’ll take it. They can capture a wider and taller field of view (152-degree view for the Nest Cams and 166-degree view for the doorbell) along with better low-light performance thanks to its new sensor and wider aperture. All are built using recycled materials and a special resin that should provide long-term UV protection. The outdoor and doorbell cameras are upgraded to an IP56 rating to better withstand the elements.

The new Nest Cams are also powered by Gemini for Home, which can describe what the camera sees, add context, find specific clips, and summarize your day with a Home Brief. The cameras retain their digital zoom, alerts that can identify people, cars, animals, can alert you for incoming packages, and can now store up to 6 hours of event history with 10-second video preview clips, all without a paid subscription.

Google’s new Nest Cams are available today, with the $100 Nest Cam Indoor arriving in Snow, Hazel, and Berry color options; the $150 Nest Cam Outdoor comes in Snow and Hazel colors; and the $180 Nest Doorbell comes in Snow, Hazel, and Linen.

Both the indoor and outdoor cams will be available in the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The Doorbell camera is currently only available in the US and Canada.
