SanDisk just announced what it calls the world’s smallest 1TB USB-C flash drive, called the Extreme Fit. The company made it compatible with both MacBooks and Windows laptops, as well as iPads running iPadOS 15 or newer.
It’s an L-shaped drive you can put into your laptop’s USB-C, but it’s small enough to never have to remove it. This is thanks to SanDisk’s leave-in design, which could more or less serve as a permanent storage upgrade as well. We’ve seen it in person at Pepcom a few weeks back, and yes, it is as small as the press release describes it.
The Extreme Fit offers transfer speeds of up to 400 MB/s and 300 MB/s on the smallest 64GB model, as it’s claimed to be the smallest but not the fastest. It also arrives in smaller sizes, such as 64GB for $16, 128GB for $22, 256GB for $30, and 512GB for $60. The largest 1TB option will cost you $118. For those of you interested, you won’t have to wait, as all sizes are available now for purchase.
