While yesterday was a relatively quiet news day, one unexpected story broke that I’m sure no one was anticipating, or at least so soon. In less than three months after going on sale here in the US, Samsung has officially killed off its Galaxy Z TriFold.

According to Bloomberg, Samsung has already ceased future restocks for its $2,900 foldable, and when all remaining inventory has been sold, it will officially be discontinued. The high cost of the product and the increasing prices of internal parts made it challenging to achieve profitability, which led to this decision.

Those of you still interested may find some remaining stock at select Samsung Experience Stores in person, as online inventory is already gone. If you manage to find the device on select online retailers, expect to pay handsomely for one.
