When it comes to monitors, LG is no stranger to crafting beautiful screens—good enough to rival Apple’s Studio Displays. Today, the company’s UltraGear line unveils the first of its kind: a 24.5-inch native 1,000 Hz refresh rate 1080p monitor. The Ultragear 25G590B is geared towards competitive e-gaming—more specifically, fast-paced FPS (first-person shooters).

The LG monitor utilizes an advanced IPS (in-plane switching) panel, a low-reflection film, and a Motion Blur Reduction Pro feature, which tracks moving objects and makes them sharper, and is equipped with AI-powered scene and sound optimization for an optimal audio/visual experience. The monitor includes a minimal stand and base combo to swivel and tilt to your desired setup, an integrated hook for headphone storage, and its UltraGear logo includes custom ambient lighting.

Currently, there’s no word on pricing and availability as of yet. I hope to get eyes on this monitor in the near future to see it firsthand: what gaming truly looks like on a 1,000 Hz monitor. So who’s got eyes on this for some Call of Duty action on it?
