Apple updated its smartwatches, the Apple Watch 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, with more health and fitness in mind. Both wearables tout an upgraded heart-rate monitor, which measures your heart rate every five seconds to display the readings in real-time via your watch face and heart-rate variability.

Both are also powered by Apple’s newest S11 processor, which handles all of the AI features and includes components from the company’s newest phone chip: the A20 Pro. The battery on the Watch Series 12 remains the same, lasting a full day on a single charge, while the Watch Ultra 4 can now get over two days on a single charge and charge faster.

Also new is Siri Recap, which creates an AI summary based on your conversations. The audio isn’t recorded or stored, the recaps are end-to-end encrypted, and you can opt in or out at any time. Apple joins other fitness wearables with a readiness score, based on your activity, vitals, and rest. The score ranges from 0 to 10 to inform you how to move that day. Coming soon is a new Insights tab within a redesigned Health app that offers recommendations based on your activity and data. The app will also reveal your Health age and measure your Longevity, based on your activity and data.

The $400 Apple Watch 12 and $800 Apple Watch Ultra 4 can be pre-ordered right now, and both go on sale September 18. The Watch 12 arrives in 42 mm and 46 mm sizes in space gray, black, light gold, and dark bronze and brings back the ceramic finish, while the 49 mm Watch Ultra 4 comes in black or natural titanium.
